The company was founded on 1/1/1999 by merging the activities of three major feeder operators in the Mediterranean.
UFS objective is to operate the most reliable and efficient feeder services in the Mediterranean, N.Europe and Black Sea in supporting ocean carriers' transhipment operations.
THE SERVICES
UFS is an independent company offering first class feeder services in the Mediterranean with the most comprehensive network of connections, serving the hub ports of Rotterdam, Antwerp, Gioia Tauro, Malta, Cagliari, Barcelona, Valencia, Piraeus, Damietta, Port Said and Constanza in the Black Sea.
UFS is proud to announce extension of its services to N.Continent, as from July 2006, when our new Rotterdam/Iberia service (Rotterdam, Vigo,Leixoes,Lisbon, Antwerp, Rotterdam) was inaugurated.
UFS expects to carry during 2007, about 1,000,000 Teus.
UFS provides 36 different rotations, calling at 49 ports in the Mediterranean, N.Europe and Black Sea.
THE FLEET
UFS utilises 55 feeder vessels of various capacities (from 200 TEU up to 1200 TEU) according to the requirements of various routes.
Twentyseven ships are directly operated by UFS and 28 are utilised in joint services with other feeder companies.
Additional 'slot agreements' enhance further the range of services offered to our clients.
THE PORTS
UFS provides direct connections among 49 Mediterranean / Black Sea / Portugal, N.Spain and N.Continent ports plus additional interport connections through transhipment at hub ports.
THE ORGANISATION
UNITED FEEDER SERVICES LTD of Marshall Islands is operated and managed by its Coordination Centre in Limassol.
